Members of the team at the Budgens store in Cosford visited the RAF Museum to present a donation, to the value of £500.
Staff at the Budgens store in Cosford, have been raising money for local charities since October 2009. A total of £500 has been raised through the sales of carrier bags for the RAF Museum and other local good causes are also set to benefit through the stores on-going fundraising efforts.
Store owners Lata and Bhupa Gohil today handed over a cheque for £500 during a visit to the museum. (Pictured from left to right: Bhupa Gohil, Alex Medhurst & Lata Gohil). Alex Medhurst, Museum General Manager commented: “We were extremely pleased to receive the £500 donation. It is surprising that so much money can be raised through the sales of carrier bags.
As a registered charity, all donations are very welcome and the money will go towards the upkeep of the museums collection of 70 historic aircraft.” The RAF Museum Cosford is home to the award winning National Cold War Exhibition. The Museum is open daily from 10am – 6pm (last admission 5pm), admission is FREE.
